2025 Nominations open

Australia’s scaffolding industry has showcased remarkable projects that exemplify innovation, safety, and technical excellence. The Scaffolding Association Australia (SAA) annually recognises such outstanding achievements through the “Australia’s Best Scaffolding Project Awards.” These awards celebrate projects across various categories, highlighting the dedication and expertise of our scaffolding company members nationwide.
2024 Award Winners:
Australian Scaffold & Access (National & New South Wales winner): Their “Craneable Scaffold Solution” project earned them both the NSW award and the prestigious Australia’s Best Scaffolding Project title. This innovative solution demonstrated exceptional adaptability and efficiency in commercial scaffolding.
Granted Access (Victoria winner): Recognised in the Industrial category for the “Walmer Bridge Upgrade,” this project showcased advanced techniques in industrial scaffolding, ensuring safety and structural integrity during critical upgrade works.
Grove Scaff (South Australia winner): Awarded in the Industrial category for the “Mawson Lakes Hung Scaffold,” this project highlighted innovative approaches to suspended scaffolding, addressing complex challenges in industrial settings.
ScafWest (Western Australia winner): Their “Mount Henry Bridge Mobile Scaffold” project secured the Civil category award, demonstrating excellence in providing mobile scaffolding solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Benchmark Scaffolding (Queensland winner): Recognised in the Industrial category for “Batman Bridge Stage 2,” this project involved intricate scaffolding designs to facilitate bridge maintenance and painting, emphasising safety and precision.
2025 Nomination Categories:
Projects can be nominated under the following categories:
Major Commercial Scaffolding Project of the Year – For large-scale projects showcasing innovation, complexity, and execution on a significant construction site.
Industrial Scaffolding Project of the Year – For scaffolding projects in industrial settings such as mining, oil & gas, power plants, or manufacturing facilities.
Civil Scaffolding Project of the Year – For scaffolding projects in civil settings such as bridges, tunnels, roads.
Innovation in Scaffolding – For projects that showcase unique design, complex scaffolding techniques, advanced technology integration, extreme heights.
Best Small-Scale Scaffolding Project – For outstanding projects on smaller sites, such as residential or small commercial buildings, that demonstrate efficiency and quality workmanship.
Best Aluminium Scaffolding Project –Recognising excellence in the design, installation, and application of aluminium scaffolding solutions.
Best Scaffolding Design – Recognising outstanding design in scaffolding, focusing on unique or custom-designed solutions, design innovation and creativity.
Award Criteria:
Projects submitted for the SAA awards are evaluated based on several key criteria:
Compliance with Safety Standards: Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Innovation of Design: Assessing creativity and uniqueness in scaffolding solutions.
Technical Considerations: Evaluating material quality and construction methodologies.
Structural Integrity: Analysing the stability and load-bearing capacity of the scaffolding.
Geographic and Installation Position Considerations: Considering adaptability to various locations and installation challenges.
Ease of Assembly/Disassembly: Reviewing the efficiency and practicality of erecting and dismantling the scaffold.
Looking Ahead:
The 2025 competition has reopened today on 1st April 2025 with this year seeing new categories created including Best Aluminium Scaffolding Project and Best Scaffold Design.
SAA members are encouraged to nominate their projects and compete for recognition at both state and national levels.
National category winners will receive $1,500 in prize money and an invitation to the SAA National Conference to compete for the National Award, which includes an additional $3,000 and the coveted Australia’s Best Scaffolding Project trophy.
These awards not only honour individual and team excellence but also elevate industry standards, inspiring scaffolding professionals across Australia to pursue innovation and maintain the highest levels of safety and quality in their projects.

- Entries Close: 30th September 2025
- Category Winners Advised: 7th October 2025
- Submitted projects must be from the year 2025.
