Qld - Safe scaffold step height during construction work

New guidance document from Workplace Health & Safety Queensland

This practical guide is designed to assist contractors and workers in meeting their safety duties, helping to ensure the health and safety of all persons involved in the construction industry.

It provides guidance on Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) compliance approach to scaffold-step height requirements for scaffold bays, including bay extension platforms (i.e. hop-up platforms used for access).

NOTE – Photos and diagrams contained in this document are used for the purpose of illustrating issues relating to scaffold step heights only. Other requirements may apply in relation to scaffold integrity, slips, trips and falls, and falling objects.

Mark Norris & John Barber from Workplace Health & Safety will attend and present at our first Qld Members Meeting on Tuesday, 27th May to further discuss and present on this topic.
