Inaugural WA Members Meeting – A Resounding Success

On Wednesday, 26th February 2025, the Scaffolding Association Australia (SAA) held its inaugural WA Members Meeting, welcoming over 60 attendees, including SAA Members, Partners, and Special Guests. The event was a tremendous success, marking an important milestone in SAA’s ongoing commitment to supporting and advancing the scaffolding industry in Australia.
The meeting commenced with an insightful introduction from Danny Zarb, Vice Chair of SAA, who provided an overview of the association’s progress, strategic goals, and vision for the future. His presentation set the stage for a productive discussion on the pivotal role SAA continues to play in guiding the scaffolding industry.
The Scaffolding Design Process – Leading the Way in Industry Clarity
The highlight of the event was an in-depth presentation on The Scaffolding Design Process by Robert Thiess, Chair and Managing Director of SAA. This presentation aimed to clarify the design process, establishing a firm and standardised procedure for the scaffolding industry to follow. By leading this initiative, SAA is taking a proactive stance in eliminating confusion and setting clear expectations for scaffolding design requirements.
Exclusive Insurance Solution – SAA Insure
The meeting also featured a presentation by Glenn Hanna on SAA Insure, an exclusive group insurance facility tailored for SAA members. This initiative showcases SAA’s commitment to providing valuable member benefits and supporting the industry with bespoke solutions.
Exclusive Member Access and Upcoming Guidelines
All SAA Members will shortly have access to The Scaffold Design Process presentation recording through the SAA Members Portal. Additionally, the accompanying guidelines document will be distributed next week, offering practical resources to implement the standardised design process.
