In exciting news for the Australian scaffolding industry, SAA NSW Chair, Mark Corkery has been named as one of the esteemed referees at this year’s ScaffChamp powered by Layher in Vilnius!
Mark brings a wealth of experience from the Australian scaffolding industry, where he has made significant contributions since 2010.
Starting his career as a labourer, Mark advanced through roles as a scaffolder, leading hand, supervisor, and estimator, before founding Scaffold Studio four years ago.
Under his leadership, Scaffold Studio has successfully completed over 6,700 projects across Australia and New Zealand, handling everything from residential to industrial and special projects, including the world record freestyle motorbike jumps, a highlight of his career.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mark serves as the Chairman for the Scaffolding Association Australia in New South Wales, where he plays a crucial role in shaping industry standards and practices.
Beyond scaffolding, Mark’s prowess extends to his days as a first-grade rugby forward, capable of downing a beer in 3.6 seconds—a fact that he assures us is as important as any credential!
