Sydney Harbour Bridge Access Systems – NSW Government Invites Expressions of Interest
Expressions of Interest now open for access system providers to support the maintenance and painting of Australia's most iconic bridge.
The New South Wales Government is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified providers to deliver temporary access solutions for the ongoing maintenance and painting of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
As the Bridge approaches its centenary, Transport for NSW is seeking industry partners capable of designing and supplying safe, compliant and efficient access systems to support one of Australia’s most recognised infrastructure assets.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is more than a transport link. Carrying hundreds of thousands of vehicles, trains, cyclists and pedestrians every day, it is a nationally significant piece of infrastructure and an internationally recognised landmark. It also serves as the centrepiece of major events including Sydney’s globally renowned New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Due to the heritage significance of the Bridge and its surrounding precincts, maintenance activities require carefully planned access solutions that meet stringent safety, engineering and operational requirements.
Opportunity for Industry
The EOI seeks organisations capable of delivering:
- Temporary access and scaffolding systems
- Innovative access methodologies
- Engineering and design solutions
- Safe and compliant access infrastructure
- Support for major maintenance and painting activities
This represents an opportunity for Australian and international access specialists to contribute to the preservation of one of the world’s most recognisable steel arch bridges.
