Scaffolding Association Australia Introduces Standardised Scaffold Design Process

The Scaffolding Association Australia (SAA) is proud to announce the release of the SAG6001:25 Scaffold Design Process, a pivotal document aimed at standardising the scaffolding design process across the Australian construction industry.

This industry-first initiative provides a structured approach to scaffolding design, ensuring a clear and consistent framework that enhances safety, efficiency, and compliance. By leading this effort, SAA is setting new benchmarks for best practices, eliminating uncertainties in scaffold planning, and reinforcing the industry’s commitment to excellence.

The SAG6001:25 Scaffold Design Process outlines a systematic methodology, guiding industry professionals through critical phases, including scope determination, design, engineering assessment, approval, and implementation. This document ensures that scaffolding structures are developed in a way that meets both regulatory requirements and practical site conditions.

The SAG6001:25 Scaffold Design Process is now available exclusively to SAA members as part of the association’s commitment to industry leadership and and strengthening best practices in scaffolding design. SAA Members can access the document through the SAA Members Portal.

The SAA is the peak industry body representing the interests of scaffolders, scaffolding business owners, scaffold engineers, designers and businesses across the country. SAA is committed to improving safety, innovation, and best practices within the scaffolding industry.
