After the successful grand opening of Plant 3 in October 2023, a select group of Layher clients from Australia had an opportunity to tour the factory and meet the shareholders and management team.
The factory tour of the German plants located in Güglingen-Eibensbach was well attended with clients from the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia over three days in January 2024.
Many of the clients were attending the facility for the first time and were amazed by the quality and testing procedures that have become a routine part of Layher’s manufacturing.
The clients who had previously visited the factory were suitably impressed with the scale of plant 3 which has state of the art manufacturing of Layher Allround LightWeight using the latest in robotic and AI processes.
The additional galvanising bath will take capacity to over 300,000 tonnes per annum.
Our valued clients specialising in Industrial Maintenance, Infrastructure, Construction and Heritage markets, enjoyed seeing the latest product developments in the FlexBeam, TwixBeam, FW and protect systems.
Demonstrations on 3D scanning and Layplan CAD were also well received and showed the future of Scaffolding designs.
As always, the networking opportunities and the social outings including the famous Sinsheim Technical Museum were popular.
The attendees were able to form important relationships with like-minded companies which has led to several opportunities to work together.
The weather was particularly cold with severe snowstorms towards the end of the trip throwing some of the travel plans into disarray!
