Australia’s Best Scaffolding Projects – Eligibility Requirements.

The Scaffolding Association Australia (SAA) proudly presents the 2025 edition of Australia’s Best Scaffolding Projects – the premier awards program celebrating excellence, innovation, and leadership across the scaffolding industry.

If your team has delivered a standout project in 2025, now is the time to shine. These awards are your opportunity to be recognised at both state and national levels, with generous cash prizes and national industry exposure up for grabs.

Award Categories

SAA Members are invited to nominate projects under one or more of the following categories:

  • Major Commercial Scaffolding Project of the Year – For large-scale, complex builds showcasing execution excellence.

  • Industrial Scaffolding Project of the Year – For works in mining, energy, manufacturing, and heavy industry.

  • Civil Scaffolding Project of the Year – For outstanding scaffolds in roads, tunnels, and bridge construction.

  • Innovation in Scaffolding – For unique solutions involving design complexity, technology, or extreme access challenges.

  • Best Small-Scale Scaffolding Project – For efficient, high-quality work on smaller residential or commercial sites.

  • Best Aluminium Scaffolding Project – Highlighting the best in aluminium system design and application.

  • Best Scaffold Design – For exceptional creativity and ingenuity in scaffolding design solutions.

Judging Criteria

All submissions will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Compliance with Safety Standards – Evidence of adherence to Australian safety laws and best practices.

  • Innovation of Design – Creative and forward-thinking approaches in scaffold layout and functionality.

  • Technical Considerations – Use of materials, construction methodology, and design complexity.

  • Structural Integrity – Strength, stability, and load-bearing considerations of the scaffold.

  • Geographic and Installation Position – Adaptability to site-specific or environmental challenges.

  • Ease of Assembly/Disassembly – Practicality, simplicity, and efficiency of the scaffold process.

Who Can Enter?

How to Submit

To enter:

  1. Complete the official nomination form on the SAA website.

  2. Include:

    • Project location and category

    • A detailed summary addressing each judging criterion

    • At least three high-quality images of your project

Prizes & Recognition

  • State Winners (one per category): $1,500 prize and automatic nomination for the national awards.

  • National Winners: $3,000 prize and the prestigious Australia’s Best Scaffolding Project Trophy.

  • Winners will be announced at Scaff25, SAA’s national conference in November.
