Above’s association with Layher commenced some 15 years ago when, after years of pushing the envelope to design solutions to the complex challenges our clients faced, we had eventually tapped the physical limits of what was possible with traditional scaffolding systems.
It was inevitable that we should form a strategic alliance with Layher to pair our industry leading engineering capabilities with the unrivalled strength and functionality of the Layher Allround System.
Above was the first to introduce the Layher Allround system to the Australian commercial construction sector. Time and again the fully engineered Layher Allround Scaffolding System has empowered us to design, certify, and safely install innovative and sophisticated solutions to complex scaffolding challenges.

Our service starts with a comprehensive assessment, ensuring we have all the information relevant to the project.
Exploiting the superior capabilities of the Layher Allround Scaffolding System, and the versatility of the Skyclimber Swinging Stage System, our in-house engineering team works with you to develop the access solution that best meets your needs in the safest and most cost-effective manner.
Our project management team prepares the project documentation and plans and programs the works, maintaining ongoing and effective communication and coordination between all parties throughout the project.
Our team of experienced, advanced scaffolders install the scaffold installation which is then inspected and certified by our structural engineers, prior to handover. While the scaffold is in service, our teams are on hand to attend to alterations and additions promptly and efficiently and conduct regular inspections of the installation.

Our trained and experienced workforce is licenced in Advanced Scaffolding & Rigging, Swinging Stages, RIW, Confined Space, Working at Height, Workers on Foot, and EWP Operation, and is employed under our Above Scaffolding Services Enterprise Agreement 2019 -2023.
In addition, we have longstanding partnerships with scaffold labour companies to ensure that we are always adequately resourced with appropriately skilled site personnel.
Our communication, consultation and participation process is fundamental to our success in delivering challenging and sophisticated access solutions safely and efficiently. Under the direction and guidance of our engineers and project managers, our site supervisors and leading hands ensure that risks are identified and controlled, and safe work methodologies are understood and implemented.
